미국 국경의 상황이 심상치 않습니다.

그러나 11일에 42호 정책의 적용 기한이 만료되고 기존의 8호 정책으로 복귀함에 따라 상황이 변했습니다. 멕시코 국경에서 기다리던 이민 시도자들이 대거 미국으로 입국할 가능성이 제기되었습니다.

8호 정책은 이민 사전 온라인 신청과 경유 국가 이민자 센터 신청 등을 통해 합법적인 입국 경로를 개방하면서도 불법 입국을 시도하는 사람들은 추방하고 5년 동안 재입국을 금지하는 등 처벌을 강화했습니다. 현재 미국은 또한 국경에 4,000명의 군인을 배치하여 불법 입국 감시 강도를 높였습니다.

Differences Between Title 42 Public Health Order vs Title 8 Enforcement Consequences

The situation along the US border is dire.

In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in March 2020, former President Donald Trump introduced Policy No. 42 based on Health Act No. 42 to block the entry of foreigners at risk of spreading infectious diseases and to immediately deport illegal entry and asylum seekers.

This policy was maintained even after the inauguration of President Joe Biden, and through this, more than 2.5 million illegal entrants who crossed the US border from Mexico and other countries were immediately deported.

However, the situation has changed as the application period for Policy No. 42 expires on the 11th and we return to the original Policy No. 8.
