[Review]

I met the man who became King Gwanghae again in Netflix. It’s a cliche, but I didn’t know the time was passing. This movie is more interesting if you know about Korean history before watching it.

Gwanghae. The evaluation of history varies with two opinions.

One is a tyrant.
One is a sage king

I think it’s a sage king
Those who think they are tyrants come out of a battle with Chinese foreign affairs and nobles at the time.  The nobility cannot like his politics of giving to the poor. The historical fact is that the king came down from his seat. So, without the name ‘King,’ he remained as Gwanghaegun.

Movies are not a new story.
The story of the fairy tale book The Prince and the beggar. And the story is similar to the movie Dave, which was later made in the U.S.

The story is not interesting.
However, it can be seen immersively because of its strange tension and perfect acting.
And for a moment, you can see the old Korean figures, palaces and hanbok. It provides foreigners with plenty of fun to see. Also, it is not a difficult story. Therefore, I would like to recommend it to foreigners who are exposed to Korean movies for the first time.
